Disabled people protection visa (H4044)

In line with its humanitarian principles and commitment to protecting vulnerable populations, United for Humanity offers a special visa program titled the Supportive Visa for Persons with Disabilities (Code H4044). This program is designed for individuals living in secondary countries who, due to physical, mental, or sensory disabilities, face serious risks or deprivation of basic rights.

1. Presence of Physical, Mental, or Psychological Disability

Applicants with any type of physical, mental, sensory, or psychological disability that significantly limits their ability to carry out daily tasks, live independently, or engage socially are eligible. This includes:

  • Mobility impairments or limb paralysis

  • Severe visual or hearing impairments

  • Intellectual or developmental disabilities (e.g., autism, Down syndrome)

  • Severe chronic or psychiatric conditions

2. Lack of Access to Supportive and Medical Services

Priority is given to individuals who do not have adequate access to:

  • Specialized treatment for their conditions

  • Physical therapy, psychotherapy, or special education

  • Social support services or rehabilitation programs

This may also include cases of systemic neglect or discrimination against persons with disabilities in the host country.

3. Living in Unsafe or Discriminatory Conditions

Individuals facing threats due to their disability, such as:

  • Violence or abuse

  • Mistreatment in shelters or medical institutions

  • Social exclusion or discrimination

may be eligible for this visa.

4. Absence of Family or Legal Support

Disabled individuals who are unaccompanied, abandoned by family, or lack governmental or legal guardianship and are unable to survive independently require special protection and may qualify for the H4044 visa.
